You need your muscles to Grow.
Here are 7 reasons why the muscle growth has stopped.
You can train in the gym very hard but after several months you stop seeing any progress. Have you ever wondered why this is so? There are reasons for this and here are 7 of the most common reasons and how you can begin to grow them again.
Reason 1- Lack of Sleep
Sleep promotes muscle grown. You need to be sleeping at least 8 hours and more if you can. Your muscles actually grow while you sleep, so if you can sleep longer it promotes god muscle growth faster.
Reason 2- Too Long in the Gym
You can actually spend too much time on your training routine. You should be working out intensely and 45minutes to one hour should be your max. There is a hormone called cortisol which is known to destroy muscles cells and after 45 minutes of training intensely these cortisol hormones will increase so preventing muscle growth.
Reason 3- Training too Hard.
One of the ways you build muscle is actually by breaking it down. This happens when you train intensely. However your muscles also need time to recover between sessions. Training damages muscles, that is how they grow but by targeting the same muscle groups each time you train does not allow them time to rest and recover. The answer is to only train each muscle group once or twice per week.
Reason 4- Not Changing your Training Workout Routine
After some time your muscles get used to your routine and stop growing. To prevent this change your routine every so often- about every two months.
Reason 5- Wrong Eating Habits
Protein is the food type that builds muscle. Generally the more protein you eat the better it is for muscle growth ( if you are working out). While protein is your muscles building block it is generally said that you need to eat 1 gram of protein per pound of your body weight equivalent. There is a way to do this if you are not eating enough protein and that is using protein shakes as a supplement.
Reason 6- Alcohol Abuse
It is well documented the destructive affects alcohol has on the body. But if you are weight training then you have the extra possibility of it breaking down muscle mass. So try to avoid or else take it in moderation.
Reason 7- Progressive Overload
Using the same size of weight does not promote muscle growth after a time. You must either try to increase the amount of weight or the amount of reps on a regular basis whenever you train your muscle groups. Once your body is used to the weight you are using then it does not have a reason to keep increasing muscle size.
So you can be in the gym daily and training very hard but muscle growth will be at a minimum if you do not minimise these seven problems. For the average person wanting to put on muscle mass these are seven of the best reasons you will not build muscle. Although there are many more methods to promote muscle growth this is a great starting point.
